ALL IN
100% Attitude | 100% Effort | 100% of the Time
Utah Yotes Baseball is a second-year, development-based competitive baseball program based in Davis County, Utah, currently competing in our 11U season. Every player, parent, and coach commits to an ALL IN culture—100% effort, 100% attitude, and full belief in each other on and off the field. We're here to grow ballplayers and build the kind of teammates who make the game better for everyone around them.
Our Mission

At the heart of our program is a culture we call ALL IN. We are committed to being ALL IN in everything we do, on the field and in life. We bring relentless effort, a positive attitude, and discipline to every moment. We compete with integrity, elevate our teammates, and represent Utah Yotes Baseball with pride. It's more than a mindset—it's the standard every player, parent, and coach commits to the moment they put on the Yotes name.
EFFORT | ATTITUDE | RESPECT | DISCIPLINE | INTEGRITY
THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ALL IN.
THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A YOTE.
The Standard
TEAM RULES
No criticizing teammates.
Build each other up.
No slamming helmets or bats.
No negative self-talk.
No complaining about umpires.
Always run on and off the field.
Respect opponents, coaches, and family.
Play with effort, discipline, and integrity at all times.
For Yotes Parents & Players
EARN IT.
Our weekly system for earning positions, reps, and a spot in the lineup.
Why We're Doing This
Every position on this team is earned, not given. Not because of who your dad is, who you played with last year, or who you're friends with. The EARN IT system gives every Yote a clear, fair, transparent path to the field — and gives every parent a clear answer to "why is my kid playing where he's playing?" No politics. No surprises. No guessing.
How Players Earn Their Position
Each player is scored on three criteria, 1–10:
SKILL (1–10)
Can he make the plays? Same drill, same standard, every player.
IQ (1–10)
Does he know his responsibilities on every pitch — coverage, cutoffs, situations?
ALL IN (1–10)
Full-speed effort, focused, coachable. Effort and attitude both count.
Each player picks three positions to compete at (one must be outfield). Highest scores play those positions all tournament. Players who don't earn a spot get coach feedback and targeted homework — with a chance to earn it at the next tournament.
How It Happens Each Week
Practice 1 — Train & Coach
Position reps. Coaches identify what each player needs to fix and assign homework.
At Home — Do The Work
Players complete position-specific drills at home. Completion is tracked weekly.
Practice 2 — Tryout Day
Players compete at their three positions on the same drills. Skill / IQ / ALL IN scored 1–10.
Day Before Game — Charts Posted
Position chart and batting order posted the day before each game. Every player sees where he stands.
Earning A Spot in the Lineup
Batting lineup spots are dictated by game performance. Boys move up and down based on how consistent they are in games — one hit doesn't move you up, and one good game doesn't necessarily move you up either.
We use hitting stats, base running, and ALL IN effort at the plate to determine placement. Everyone bats every game (continuous lineup), but where you bat is earned.
What We Expect From Players
Show up ready. Do your homework. Compete at tryouts. Own your at-bats. Take coaching. Pick teammates up. Be ALL IN — and you will get better, earn your spot, and continuously improve.
Mistakes don't cost reps — but attitude, effort, and disrespect do. The only way a player will be punished is for not following our ALL IN rules, in which case he'll sit an inning or more. Depending on severity, he may also lose his opportunity to play his position.
First, be ALL IN. Then be dedicated to getting better in every part of the game — physical, mental, and emotional. That's how Yotes are built.
EARN YOUR SPOT. ALL IN.
